The Human Resources Administration’s Office of Burial Services helps individuals in need of financial assistance to meet funeral expenses for a deceased low-income NYC resident.
OBS can pay up to a maximum of $1,700 towards the cost of a funeral bill.
Total burial cost cannot exceed a cap of $3,400. To determine eligibility:
